What you’ll do

Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Undertaking day-to-day bookkeeping duties
  • Raising and issuing sales invoices / credit notes
  • Undertaking all credit control tasks to ensure timely receipt of income
  • Conducting credit checks on new clients and liaising with the Group Management Accountant to set credit limits
  • Managing purchase orders for suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Tracking company expenditure against POs and budgets
  • Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Processing and managing staff expense claims
  • Advising the sales team on VAT implications for different types of sales and purchases
  • Assisting with expenditure and cash flow reporting
  • Supporting internal colleagues with finance-related administrative tasks

 

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a finance or accounts role, including specific credit control experience
  • Comfortable using accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, etc.)
  • Experience with expenses managements apps
  • Salesforce experience an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Clear, professional communication
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time

 

What we offer:

  • Salary from £16.00 per hour.
  • 20-25 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday.
